Mary Alice Conyers (Nookie)

Mary Alice Conyers (Nookie) transitioned from this mortal realm to her spiritual home on Saturday, September 20, 2025. She was born in Whigham, GA to the late Jessie Mae Conyers and D. L. (Bubba) Conyers on December 08, 1947. Mary was a devoted lifelong Christian, serving proudly as Mother of the church at New Canaan Missionary Baptist Church in Havana FL, under the leadership of Reverend Fredrick Marrch. She is a graduate of Havana Northside High School and retired from State of Florida Statewide Prosecution Office in Tallahassee, FL.

She lived a life full of grace, compassion, and vibrant connections. Whether spending time with loved ones near or far, especially those cherished visits to North Carolina, Sanford, Belleville, and Tampa, her presence brought warmth and joy wherever she went. She found joy in the kitchen, and baking her famous biscuits for anyone who came through her door. She had a tender heart for the sick and those in need, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer comfort. Sundays held a sacred rhythm in her life, as she faithfully attended church and served the Lord with unwavering devotion. She loved spending quality time in her yard and the care she showed each flower reflected the care she poured into everything she touched. She delighted in dressing up and looking her best, radiating dignity and joy. And through it all, her favorite saying, “Jesus and I,” was more than words, it was the quiet strength and sacred bond that guided her every step.

Mary leaves to cherish her precious memories, two sons: Tonayne Hudson of Havana FL, and Macheal Reese (wife - Bridgette) of Harrisburg NC, two grandchildren: Arianna Reese of Harrisburg NC and Alexander Reese of Concord, NC, two sisters: Celia Conyers of Tampa, FL and Jessie Thompson of Havana FL, Sister-in-law: Mary Conyers, extended family & special friends: Curtis Johnson, Allen Jones (Debra), Darline Harris, JoAnn Braziel,  Mary Burnette both of West Palm Beach, Fl. A host of loving and sorrowing nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.
