Ola Bell Hollis Ford was born on May 22, 1925 in Newville, Alabama to the late Benny Lee Hollis and Hettie Morris Hollis. She was educated in the Henry County public school system. Ola was loved and surrounded by her children, and grandchildren during the last days of her life. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Ford Sr.; two sons, Benny Ford and Quincy Ford; 7 siblings: Vela Patterson, Delia Bracken, Ransom Hollis, Lois Minniefield, Lola Fleming, James Hollis, Nettie V. Charles and a grandson, Alphonso Ford.
Ola joined the First Elizabeth MB Church in 1953 where she served as a mother of the church, a choir member, a member of the Ora McDonald Circle and many other church organizations and unions until the last months of her life.
She leaves to cherish her wonderful life: two children, a son, Junior Lee Ford (Annette) of Quincy, Florida and a daughter, Maryann H. Ford of Stone Mountain, Georgia; 22 grandchildren, 59 great grandchildren, 35 great-great grandchildren, 3 sisters: Carrie King of Snellville, Georgia, Mary C. Hollis of East Orange, New Jersey, Annette Thomas of Winston, North Carolina; two brothers: Isaac Hollis of East Orange, New Jersey and Joseph Hollis of Hillside, New Jersey; one sister-in- law: Elma Cummings of Quincy, Florida; one brother-in- law: Auburn E. Ford, Sr. of Quincy, Florida; one daughter in-law: Jacqueline Ford, a devoted friend: Sharon Ford Conway and host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
